Peacock Bass, Cichla temensis

This beautifully colored bass is found in the remote jungle of the Amazon River and its tributaries. They also exhibit two very different color phases. This is the Paca Phase. These fish are incredible ferocious predators, but in the Amazon there is always a bigger predator to be wary of.
